This collection of Castanuelas del Sur castanets aims at the top professional category of Flamenco dancers.  They are all made of 80% compressed softwood slices impregnated with 20% retin, using traditional methods backed by the superb know-how of four generations of expert, castanet craftsmen.

Thanks to their composition and top quality of the materials they are crafted from, the castanets:

The basic difference of this model from the Fibra Beteada one is its double sound box (Doble Caja). That makes these castanets a lot lighter since the existence of the second sound box means that less material has been used in making the castanets.

Another difference is that the double sound box makes the sound the castanets emit hoarser and rougher, in other words much more Flamenco!
