The Castañuelas del Sur are made in Seville, the capital of Andalusia using traditional handcrafting methods.  The materials they are made of are all noble ones:  Granadillo; Ebano; Guayacán; and Palo Santo in combination with artificial fibers so that the castanets may be more resilient to abrupt weather changes, may not crack or absorb the moisture they are so fond of.  Time after time, the sound they produce remains the same in intensity and quality.
